Atlantic City Womans Center - PC Donation

The first community service activity for LMLA Chapter 541

The first community service activity for the LMLA NMA Chapter at WJHTC was coordinating the donation of Lockheed Martin surplused PCs to the Atlantic County Women’s Center(ACWC) at the Cornerstone Building in Linwood, NJ.

On Wednesday February 22nd after work a number of volunteers donated their time, muscles (those old monitors are very heavy) and vehicles to transport 23 computers from the Lockheed Martin English Creek facility to the ACWC. The ACWC will use the computers in their computer lab where they do training for the clients and in the crisis center. Andrea Ples, Development Manager, expressed her gratefulness to Lockheed Martin and all of the volunteers and indicated that this will allow them to replace current computers which are at least 8 years old.
