Speaker Program

January 16, 2008 - Col. Randall King

On Wednesday January 16th, the Atlantic City LMLA chapter was honored to have Colonel Randall King, Wing Commander of the New Jersey Air National Guard’s 177th Fighter Wing as our guest speaker for our continuing series of lunchtime leadership seminars.

Colonel King provided an insightful and interesting presentation of his experiences in leadership, from his years at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, through various professional positions in the aerospace industry (which included Lockheed Martin), the US Air Force, and culminating with his current position of leading over 1,000 highly trained and dedicated professionals. Colonel King used anecdotal examples of events throughout his professional career to highlight the importance of sound leadership and teamwork in order to achieve team success. The core values he discussed stressed the importance of leading by example, listening to your peers, doing the right thing, and always remembering that others are depending upon you.
